Prairie Days Tour
June 23 July 21 Aug 18 Sept 15
We will enjoy a 2 mile walk around 40 acres of native prairie and 30 acres of old growth forest. You will learn all sorts of facts about the unique Ecosystem of Southwest Minnesota and various ways the indigenous and early settlers utilized the many resources this ecology provided.
You'll get an up-close look at regenerative farming and just how the prairie ecosystem greatly benefits from our rotational grazing practices.
Come to witness and enjoy the sacred beauty of the changing prairie, abundant wildlife, nature connection and a renewed reverence for this special place we all call home.
Tour is 2-3 hours
Family-friendly, all are welcome, separate kids playing activity if they don't want to join the walk.

These are the species you will find in the prairie and also in our herbal gardens. Many notes are in this document so you don't have to worry about writing everything down you learn on the walk. Just focus on connecting to the nature around you while on the walk.
We’ve planted trees every single year since 2014. For the past 3 years we have been growing trees from seed such as Chestnuts, hazelnuts, plums, paw paws, cherries and hardy peach. Some of us are here to grow kids, some of us are here to grow trees for those kids. One day, these trees will feed the next generation and they will continue growing trees for others to plant on land near and far. Check out the Plant Trees page on our website for a long list of thoughtful donors who help us to keep this project going until our trees are making their own seeds. Imagine if 50% of America took a year off from buying presents for others and instead bought trees…. What a world it could be!
